Tom Ford, the Texas native has become an icon in the design industry. He studied at Parsons, The New School for Design where he majored in architecture. Tom designed for Perry Ellis but soon grew tired of American Fashion and moved to Italy where he is accredited with revitalizing Gucci, a then faltering luxury goods company. Under Ford's leadership, Gucci acquired the venerable French brand Yves Saint Laurent. Mr. Ford resigned from the company in 2005 and founded his own fashion company, Tom Ford Brand, which offers menswear, eyewear, and beauty products.
